POS Tale n.º 4 - Is that a Jump Bridge?

POS Tale n.º 4 - Is that a Jump Bridge?

A4D took another Stabber Fleet Issue gang out, but this time with logi. It’s actually not very usual to bring logistics, but this time for some reason we did.

We ended up on 1-7B6D (Darkspwan) again, but they did not even undocked this time. No docking games, no local smack... They did engaged our scout with some bombers and small tackle, but hardly worth the trouble.

The only things on scan were a couple of Drakes, Tempest and a Tornado that seemed to be on a Jump Bridge, near a POS. Ususally enemy POS are a bad spot to engage, but we had logistics, and that POS only had a few guns.

You're own personal gate... If you like that Sov deal stuff.

We decided to check it out. Scout warped in (Republic Fleet Firetail) , failed the tackle on the Tornado (it jumped while being targeted), but got a Drake instead. Now at this point all started to go downhill, mainly because we never fight on grid with a POS.

Fleet waped in on the scout, and logi, as usual warped on at 50km. Unfortunatly by warping at range, logi ended warp “on top” of the POS, and were pushed sideways by the force field, ending up bumping the it’s shields and outside repping range from the fleet and even other logi mates. Not only that, our scout died and lost tackle, allowing the Drake to MWD inside the POS.

At this point one of our Fleet Sabbers starts taking damage from the POS, but logi is unable to help him and dies. Even worse… one of the Drakes comes outside the POS and makes short work of a Logi that was completely separated from our gang.

3 Losses, 3 Frig kills… The most frustrating part is that the POS was perfectly tankable with 2 Logis, since it has not many guns. We would have to take on this lesson and make better next time, but giving up was not a choice. We would return...

It's all so obvious!!! What don't you undestand?!
